I've been freaking out recently over my marathon. Going back-and-forth in my head whether I'm even going to attempt for the full in San Fransisco in 3 weeks. I've been stressing over the distance, and the weather, and blah, blah, blah...
I think the challenge of a full should be an exciting endeavor and the unknown exciting, but it hasn't been working out that way.
So this morning, in an attempt to buy some cool stuff and re-jazz my enthusiasm, I stopped in at our local running store to get some supplies for the upcoming Marathon. Still having mini panic attacks and wondering whether or not I really needed all that GU I was buying, I noticed new stickers on the counter.
Many of them jumped out at me (obviously since I bought 4). But the Hebrews verse literally made me giddy with happiness. The poor employee at the counter thought I was having a spasm or something. When I explained that "perseverance" is my word, he just smiled and said "it's meant to be."
Yes counter employee man, it does indeed seem meant to be. I believe it may even be a sign that I am going to not only attempt the full marathon in 3 weeks, but I may just persevere and rock it.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
~Hebrews 12:1 NIV
PS- I think I've discovered the text portion of my tattoo that I'm rewarding myself with after I cross the finish line :)

One DIRTY Birthday
My birthday was (again) a great one this year! It began early in the morning with a mud race.
Yes, you read that correctly.
This race was SO. MUCH. FUN!
My fellow Dirty Girls and I had a great time. It began with a lot of standing around waiting to be corralled and told to go. We had fun taking some pre-race photos while we were still clean.
For the rest of my birthday I hung out with Jed and Danielle, ate yummy pizza, played with Joie and watched the BSU game. Then I headed over to Richard's for BFF time! We watched GLEE, laughed, ate junk food, talked, and had a great time! Jessica came over and Jake, Tom and Dawn were there too. I was even given the full season of GLEE from Tom and Richard! I'm so excited to be able to watch episodes whenever I want to.
All-in-all I'd say turning 28 was EPIC.

My fellow Dirty Girls and I had a great time. It began with a lot of standing around waiting to be corralled and told to go. We had fun taking some pre-race photos while we were still clean.
Then we were off! The entire crowd was just jogging out of the starting gate. No one was taking this race seriously since we didn't know what to expect. We all just had a great time as a big group.
The race was one giant obstacle course. It was a 10k (6.2 miles long) and there was an obstacle or challenge at each mile or so. We encountered hay bales to leap over, tubes to crawl through, one HUGE hill to climb, tires to run through, walls to scale over, beer to chug, one {awesomely} long slip n' slide to zoom down, and a big muddy pit to crawl through.
Our photographer was patiently waiting for us at the end to catch us crawling through the mud. Here we are in the last stretch. Drenched from the slip n' slide and a little tipsy from the PBR.
And into the mud we go! It was so gross, but so fun!!
I was loosing my shorts!
I wore a button that said "High 5, it's my birthday!" on it. I received many "congrats" "hell yeahs" and "happy birthdays". It was great! I also may have received a few hugs from hot guys ;)
Post race and post public shower Jayme and I.
Post race and post public shower GiGi and I.
DIRTY girls!
After a much needed shower I headed over to Jed and Danielle's to spend the afternoon, not before first getting a free birthday Dutch Bros though!

A new blog
I've created a "sister" blog!
While at work today, a co-worker suggested a new photo project, and I've been looking for one, so the suggestion was more than welcome. Her idea was to start a blog of photography from Boise. I will probably include surrounding areas as I travel, but predominately it will focus on the photos I take in and of Boise and all the things I love about the place I call home.
Check it out, and let me know what you think! Click HERE
And because blog posts are boring without photos...
I give you Patio Shark.

A Bunch of Silliness Really.
The other night I babysat Joie. She and I had a blast running through the house, and being silly. We made a few videos on my computer and took tons of photos.
