Trip to the pumpkin patch...

Oh how I love fall. Lattes, good books, crisp air, and the pumpkin patch! This afternoon we dressed the boys up in their Halloween costumes (Pumpkins, all 4 of them!) and went to the pumpkin patch to find some good ones for carving. It was such a fun time! We looked at all the animals (chickens, sheep, pigs, and cows) and went on a hay ride into the field to get our pumpkins. The boys had such a good time. The rules of the patch are that kids have to be able to carry there own pumpkin out (although they can have a bigger one if they want, you just have to pay for it then) and Tre'Von was having a hard time finding ones that he wanted that he could lift. The ones that he could life he would throw and watch it bounce! I think he was thinking it was a basketball :).
Here a few of my favorite pics from the day...

I so love this baby's smile!

Joey would climb onto the pumpkins and lay on them :)

Boise in the Fall...

Boise in the Fall is a beautiful thing! Yesterday afternoon, after classes were over for the week (FINALLY), I ventured out into downtown Boise with my camera to capture a few images of the beautiful fall foliage and caught some other fun images too. I don't know what it is about fall, but I absolutely LOVE it!!! Its comforting and relaxing, and makes me want to be outdoors before the big snow fall (which makes me want to cuddle indoors). I wish that Fall lasted a bit longer, but I'll just make sure to enjoy while it's here.

Love...

I love living in Boise. I know I'm thinking about moving to Seattle or elsewhere once I graduate, but I've been reflecting on this beautiful city lately (especially because of the gorgeous fall colors everywhere) and I really do love this city. I'm hoping to get out on Sunday and take some landscapes with all the fall beauty, but until then, here are a few of my favorite shots of Boise...

Pure Bliss...

Ahhh, what a great day! A day that started with sleeping until I awoke naturally (one of life's happy gifts) around 10:30 (I slept passed 7:00!!) and stayed in my pj's all day, ahhh... happy :)
I spent my day with my best friend Richard watching the first season of "Pushing Daisies" and editing photos. Sure, there was a brief 3 hour period where we had to run 2 former Club members (Luis and Armando) out to Ontario for school tomorrow (they were visiting their parents over the weekend) but that was fun too, so it was alright.

*Okay, so random thought that comes from watching a "Gilmore Girls" re-run while I'm typing this, but it wouldn't it be neat to have a troubadour follow you around all day? A soundtrack of my life would be interesting.*

If you have never seen ABC's "Pushing Daisies" I truly recommend it. Its such a neat show.
I pasted the summary below if anyone is interested:

As a young boy Ned discovers that he can return the dead briefly to life with just one touch. But his random gift isn't without deadly consequences& as he soon finds out. He discovers the rules of his gift early: First touch - alive; second touch - dead again, forever; Keep something alive for more than a minute and something else has to die in its place.
Grown up Ned (Lee Pace) puts his talent to good use by touching dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavor. He opens a pie shop. But his life as a pie maker gets more complicated when private investigator Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) discovers Ned's secret. Emerson convinces the cash-strapped Ned to help him solve murder cases (and collect a hefty reward fee) by raising the dead and getting them to name their killers.
Then Ned is handed the case that changes his life forever. His childhood sweetheart, Charlotte "Chuck" Charles (Anna Friel), is murdered on a cruise ship under strange circumstances. Her death brings him back to his hometown of Coeur d' Coeur to bring Chuck back to life, albeit briefly, and to solve the crime. But once reunited with Chuck, Ned can't bring himself to touch her again.

Ahhh, the weekend...

The weekend is finally here! It has been such a long week! School work, work, home, friends - everything seems to be happening all at once! I promised myself that if I got through this week I would be rewarded with a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend, and its finally here! Tomorrow I am going to sleep in, then go to work, and then get my room cleaned and my winter clothes out of storage and organized. Then Sunday, oh glorious Sunday, I have an entire day of movies, photo editing, and Richard to look forward too :)
So how was today? Today was good. I went to school and then had a photo shoot with Emily Chung (2nd shoot) and then went to Scott's office and worked on my web site. The web site is coming along well and I'm so excited for the day when it will finally be online! It's going to be so amazing :)
Alright, so very, very tired and ready for bed!
Good night :)

So Tired!

Wow, what a long day! The sad thing is that I didn't accomplish much during it. It started with work (like every other Thursday) from 9:00-noon. Work was alright, we weren't very busy so I surfed a little internet and checked out a few books and read some magazines - I know, my job is so tough! (here is a picture of my "office")

Then I went to lunch with my mom. She came to Boise to fly to Washington for my Grandma's 75th birthday Sunday. (I'm really bummed that I can't miss work and school in order to go) She took me to Johnny Corino's which was really yummy! My first class of the day was cancelled and I was going to go to the library to get some much needed homework done, but decided that a nap sounded much better. So I came home and took a lovely 3 hour nap and ended up sleeping through my next class! oops! haha, guess I needed the rest though. When I did finally wake up I went to the library and got one of the assignments that I needed to finish for tomorrow done, but I still have to fit in a paper at some point tomorrow :(
My goal at this point is to get a lot of homework done tomorrow and Saturday so that my Sunday is a glorious day of nothing but movies and my best friend Richard!

Well, it's late, and I have an early morning/busy day tomorrow, so it's time to head off into the sunset... ok, so that's way corny, but I wanted to utilize this picture, so its the best you're getting :)

New Haircut!

Hello again :)
Last night after work and classes I went downtown to Graebers and got my hair cut! Kimberly (my roommate's mom) did an AWESOME job on my hair! I have been wanting to grow my hair out for a long time now, but kept getting annoyed and cutting it off again. Finally after heart ache and head ache I just let it grow, and no matter how ugly it got, kept letting it grow (hence the mullet that I had for quite awhile...lol) Richard was an awesome friend and barely trimmed my ends during that time which would satisfy my want to hack it off. But my hair has finally gotten to a length that some new 'do's are possible though, ergo last night. My hair is still pretty short in the front, but in a month it should be long enough that an A-line Bob will begin to appear. I'm so excited to have the hairstyle that I have been wanting forever just in time for graduation!

Haha... I know this post has been rather self absorbed and ego-centric, but hey, don't we all deserve a day now-and-then where we feel really good about ourselves?! I say YES!

Here are pics of the new 'do...

The First of Many...

Hello All!

This is my first attempt at blogging and I am SUPER excited!

This is my last semester at BSU (yay!) and I want to remember everything I was thinking, dealing with, and going through when I get to that inevitable place in my life where I actually miss school...lol! I really do like school, and am loving learning new things, but I'm so excited about the next chapter in my life and finding out who I am in this great big world that I need to remember to slow down and enjoy this time in my life. Never again will I have the ability to pick and choose my day-to-day events the way I can now. If I don't want to go to class, and I want to sleep in... guess what? I can! (maybe I shouldn't, but I can!) If I want to go to coffee with friends and plan a roadtrip for the upcoming month and just take off and enjoy the weather... guess what... I can! And if I choose to be responsible and actually do my homework, I guess I can do that too :)

Here is me on campus with my backpack and Starbucks (an everyday necessity!) This was my 26th birthday photo - "sally student"... that's me!

Well, I'm signing off for now, but I'll be back!
